Read the article entitled "reckless genius," by Galway Kinnell (a prominent American poet today). This will give you some ideas about Dickinson's "project." You should also read through the poetry primer handout from class (and linked on the school website). Next, find your name below, read the assigned poem, and click on the underlined "comments" (bottom right of your name) to write your comment. You should write a sizable paragraph analyzing the poem. Read your group members' responses to avoid repetition and to respond to their ideas. Be attentive to issues of diction, syntax, rhythm, allusions, images, and metaphor or symbol.
